On the 4th day of release the game had over 30,000 players. I have no idea what the count is now but there is no lack of players to team up with or against in this game.

I had given up on civilization type games till I found this one through a facebook ad. I decided to try it out and very pleased that I did.
Caesary is a civilization game based in the Roman Empire era. It was released this year and took off with over 30,000 players by the 4th day of being live. They recently added a second server to accommodate the rapid growth of players. Caesary is a free to play browser based game with the option to pay for those who wish to advance faster or lack the time to invest into the game that others do. No download is required.
You start the game with nothing but a plot of land. You choose what building to build, where to build them and how far to upgrade them. Each building serves a different function. Cottages provide housing allowing you to have a higher civilian population while buildings such as the barracks will allow you to train troops to join your army. Once your city is on the way up and your army is ready the fun begins. There are 2 different types of attacks in Caesary. Maraud and Colonize. Maraud will allow you to pillage other players or npc's. Using enough Colonize attacks on another player will cause them to become a tributary city. When they do, a portion of the resources that city produces will go to you. This is just a start, there is much more to do in the game but I don't want to give it all away.
There are two things that really set Caesary hosted by Lekool apart from all other games. The first is the amazing staff. From the first second I started playing there has been non stop events going that reward players with in game items. There are always GM's on hand and this is the only game of it's type that I have ever played that has a 1 on 1 live chat with support. The second is that in Caesary you will never lose your city. Other civilization games I have played you could invest tons of time &/or money into your city just to have it destroyed or captured by another player. The worst that can happen is your city gets colonized and you lose a small percentage of your resource production but even then there are ways to break free from it.
I have enjoyed the game this far and have no intentions of quitting any time soon. I recommend everyone trying this game out. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it does not require any download and it's free to play so you have nothing to risk by trying it out. The official game site and official trailers are listed below. I hope to see you in game.
